Baahubali yet to break Magaheera Record
Young Rebel Star Prabhas and Rana starrer ‘Baahubali’ has broken all the previous records and has emerged as the new industry hit of Tollywood. The movie broke overall share of Rs.87 crores of ‘Magadheera’s all versions. Also, the movie crossed Telugu version’s all time best share Rs.81 crores of ‘Atharintiki Daredi’.
However, ‘Baahubali’ cannot cross the rarest of the rare record set by ‘Magadheera’. As per records, ‘Magadheera’ broke previous industry hit ‘Pokiri’s Rs.36+ share with more than double the margin by collecting Rs.78 crores share. No industry hit movie had achieved this feat before. This particular factor separates ‘Magadheera’ from other industry hits and makes the movie stands top forever.
‘Baahubali’ needs to collect Rs.156+ crores share with its Telugu version to achieve above feat of ‘Magadheera’s. However, as per collection trends, the movie is expected to collect a full run share between Rs.100 crores and Rs.110 crores in its full run and which is Rs.20 crores to Rs.30 crores more to that of ‘Magadheera’s share. Interestingly, ‘Magadheera’ collected Rs.65 crores share in Telugu states alone.( AP and Telangana). ‘Baahubali’ should strive hard to break this record. The movie should run steadily with record collections at least for ten more days to break this record.
