Comedian Chidambaram Passed Away
Hyderabad, Oct 19: Telugu film and theater actor and comedian Kallu Chidambaram (70) is said to have passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Visakhapatnam early today.
Chidambaram was suffering from respiratory disorders for some time now, sources said.
Chidambaram made his acting debut with 1988 Telugu film “Kallu”, and his performance in it earned him his first Nandi Award.
Some of his other popular films include “Chanti”, “Govinda Govinda”, “Ammoru” and “Pelli Pandiri”. Since then he acted in several movies and went on to entertain the audience with his brand of humour.
His first film’s title ‘Kallu’ become his surname following its success at the box office.
He gave 12 years of his life to the world of theater. Tollywood sources said that his last rites will be conducted at Akkayapalem in Visakhapatnam tomorrow
